Terms of Service
Effective: July 31, 2026
These terms cover your use of 8typical.com and its connected services at learn.8typical.com, af.8typical.com, and thrivq.8typical.com, operated by 8typical, Burleson, Texas (“we,” “us”). By using the sites or purchasing our services, you agree to them. Job Sweet Job (jobsweetjob.com) has its own terms.
What we offer. Live workshops and certification courses, self-paced programs and credentials (including Adaptive Foundations), team assessments and diagnostics (including ThrivQ), and consulting, coaching, and on-site training for organizations. Organizational engagements are governed by their written agreements; where those differ from these terms, the written agreement wins.
Your account. Keep your login credentials secure and your information accurate. You're responsible for activity under your account.
Payments. Prices are shown at purchase and processed by Stripe. You're responsible for any applicable taxes.
Training course cancellations and refunds. Cancel 3 or more days before your class starts and receive, at your choice, a full refund or a full credit toward any future cohort. Within 3 days of class start, your seat converts to a full credit toward any future cohort. No-shows receive no refund or credit. If 8typical cancels a class, you receive a full refund. Refunds are processed to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Our pass guarantee is separate: attend the full course and, if you do not pass the certification exam within five attempts, we refund your enrollment. Premium 1-on-1 coaching sessions must be scheduled within 90 days of your class ending. Your seat is confirmed on payment, and you may transfer your seat to a colleague at any time before class starts — just contact us.
Self-paced programs. You get immediate, full access on enrollment, so purchases are not refundable once access is unlocked. Where a program includes assessments, the attempt policy stated on that program's page applies. Your access to program content remains regardless of assessment outcomes, as described on the program page.
Credentials. Certificates and credentials are earned by meeting the stated requirements. We may revoke a credential obtained through misrepresentation or academic dishonesty.
Your license to our materials. Course materials, tools, assessments, and content are ours or our licensors'. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own learning and work. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, or use them to build competing offerings. Organizational licenses are defined in the engagement agreement.
Acceptable use. Don't misuse the sites: no unauthorized access, scraping, interference, or unlawful use.
Third-party names. Certification names and marks referenced on our sites belong to their respective owners; use of a name doesn't imply endorsement.
Honest expectations. Our services are educational and advisory. We bring evidence and effort; we don't guarantee outcomes, results, or job placement, and nothing we provide is legal, medical, financial, or psychological advice. Coaching is not therapy.
Liability. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
Changes. If these terms change, we'll update the date above. Questions: team@8typical.com.
