We're 8typical. The name says it on purpose.
A team performance firm built in Burleson, Texas — on research, plain talk, and two decades of doing the work in the room. Typical isn't the goal. It never was.
It started with a pattern nobody was naming.
For over twenty years, Devon Morris led transformation inside big organizations — finance, healthcare, energy, aviation, government. Different industries, same scene every time: the best producer gets promoted, gets handed a team, and gets no training in the second trade they just took on. Then everyone acts surprised when the team struggles — and blames the person instead of the gap.
He got tired of watching it, so he went and studied it. His research — including a study of 291 working professionals — examined exactly what separates teams that adapt under pressure from teams that break: what makes them resilient, what keeps them committed to the goal, how they learn, and how they perform when conditions get hard. The short version of what he found: teams whose leaders actually coach them — before, during, and after the hard moments — dramatically outperform teams whose leaders just react.
