Privacy Policy

This policy covers 8typical (8typical.com) and its connected services at learn.8typical.com, af.8typical.com, and thrivq.8typical.com, operated by 8typical, Burleson, Texas. It does not cover Job Sweet Job (jobsweetjob.com), which has its own policies.

What we collect. Information you give us: your name and contact details when you reach out, sign up, or enroll; account information when you create a login; responses you submit in courses, assessments, and diagnostics (including ThrivQ); and messages you send us. Information collected automatically: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to run and secure the site.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we never see or store it. We keep records of what you purchased.

How we use it. To provide what you signed up for: delivering courses and programs, scoring assessments, issuing certificates and credentials, answering your messages, and sending the emails you asked for. We also use it to improve our services and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers below.

Who helps us run this. Like most modern businesses, we use trusted providers to operate: Stripe (payments), Clerk (login and accounts), Supabase (databases), Render (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Bunny (video hosting), and Sertifier (credential issuing). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Email. We send transactional email about your purchases and accounts, and marketing email only if you signed up for it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor it.

Cookies. We use cookies necessary for the site and your login to work. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Assessment and diagnostic responses. Your ThrivQ and course assessment responses are used to generate your results and, in aggregate and de-identified form, to improve our instruments. We do not share your individual responses with your employer unless you're participating in an engagement where that's stated up front.

Retention. We keep information as long as needed to provide services, maintain records of credentials we've issued, and meet legal requirements — then we delete it.

Your choices. Email team@8typical.com to access, correct, or delete your information, and we'll handle it promptly. Some records (like purchase history and issued credentials) we're required or need to retain.

Security. We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards. No internet service can promise perfect security, and we won't pretend otherwise.

Age. Our services are for adults 18 and over.
